power management

Cabinet power distribution and environmental monitoring products combine the key functions a data center or remote site manager needs to manage each equipment cabinet, reduce downtime and improve data center power management: intelligent power distribution, remote management to reboot connected devices, input current power monitoring, environmental monitoring and serial console port access.

Choose integrated solutions or individual cabinet power distribution units (PDUs), allows you to design your own Solution for the Data Center or Remote Site.

PDU Functionalities

Basic Reliable power distribution from the UPS to up to 42 receptacles in a rack or wiring closet, substantially reducing the number of plenum cables from input source to each rack.
Metered All the features of the basic model, plus 24/7 monitoring and display of power utilization on any receptacle, branch circuit or the entire unit, to prevent overload conditions and tripped circuits.

Monitored All the features of basic and metered models, plus the ability to securely view the status of each circuit from anywhere on the company intranet or the Internet, and receive automated alerts of potential trouble.

Managed All the features above, plus advanced technology to control remote server boot, monitor enviromental information, or electronically lock designated receptacles to prevent unauthorized use.

KVMPro carries many solutions from many manufactures. The following are availble:

3-Phase Power Distribution & Meteringpower management
For high-density, high-power demand equipment cabinets. Input current monitoring of each phase allows for proper load balancing of each rack mount power distribution unit. Switched units provide remote power management while Smart units provide remote power monitoring and Metered units provide local input current monitoring.

A typical dense-server data center will deploy equipment cabinets containing 42 1U dual-power supply servers in each cabinet. Power demands for this cabinet far exceed a single-phase 120V 20A power circuit. The 3-Phase PDU with its dual power feeds and its 84 outlet receptacles provides capacity to support at total of 42 1U dual-power supply servers in a single cabinet.

Intelligent "Managed" Power Distribution
Control remote sites and data center equipment with IP-based remote power management. Remote power management and remote reboot servers and network gear individually or as a selected group. Additional solutions for the data center equipment cabinet can be integrated, including input current monitoring, pass-thru console port access and environmental monitoring.

Metered Power
Reliable Power Distribution for all the IT & network equipment in your data center combined with Input Current Monitoring of the power loads on each circuit. 110 VAC, 208 VAC, 220 VAC, 3-Phase and -48 VDC power distribution for the equipment cabinet or rack. Combine Power Distribution with the ability to monitor network equipment power draws. LED digital display indicator provides an accurate, real-time reading of the aggregate power load in amps on each power circuit.

Basic Power PDU's
Basic power PDU's provide a simple solution where reliable power distribution for equipment racks and other data center applications is needed, in addition to branch circuit protection.
